American Hip Hop is dead! French rap is the best!
I wish you'all could speak french! The rappers over there talk about social issues, injustice and all the problems that the youth is facing! here, in the U.S, it is MONEY OVA BITCHES, or I OWN 657 BITCHES, or i have 5 lamborghinis! The fact that you speak one language confine you to listen to your only hip pop! Try Hip pop from others countries, especially France! You'll see the difference in the lyrics!

Yes, french rap and USA rap are very different.

Im french, so I know a lot of songs, lyrics are very different. In france, they speak about their rage and not money, bitches. They are others groups : Sinik, rohff, sniper etc...

hip-hop singers hate Sarkozy, they talk about his government so much... In france, there isn't guetto like in USA, these is just towns who poor people are crowded together and isolated. Delinquency increases here.

I'm French I used to listen to US rap when I was younger (NY style).



French rap is just a joke they pretend to live in a dangerous hood with a dangerous life, but it's just fake. There are no guns in hoods in France, their parents get enough money for a living from the governement, etc...

Just a bad copy of US rap, the original.



About R&B it's another story and just a question of taste.
