generally guitar gamers who choose to objective violin yet don't have good sufficient ears to locate the notes themselves. you could not do the form of large tuning of notes that good violinists are predicted to do once you're constrained by employing frets.

Of course a regular violin bow is used to play an electric violin.



If you want contact with the string on legato playing,

and a familiar response on staccato and spicatto playing,

you would use a bow with familiar response.



The reason to switch bows is not because the body of the violin has been replace with a bit of plastic. The strings are still the strings, and they interact with the bow in the same ways.
